Environment is the foundation of our life, and understanding its importance is essential for our survival.  

Today, protecting the environment has become crucial because human activities are posing big environmental challenges. To overcome global warming issues, we should stop deforestation, reduce pollution, and conserve natural resources so that present and future generations can lead a happy and sustainable life.

Keeping this view in mind, for the past 20 years, Uday Gujar Foundation has been actively working towards environmental conservation through sustained tree plantation drives with the help of Devrai Foundation. We believe that a healthy environment is the foundation for a healthy society, and our mission is to inspire collective responsibility toward nurturing nature.

 Tree plantations not only contribute to increasing green cover but also play a crucial role in improving air quality, reducing soil erosion, and supporting biodiversity. Each sapling is nurtured with a strong focus on survival rate and long-term sustainability.

Movement of Tree Plantation with various schools in Khandala Vibhag Shikshan Sanstha with the help of school’s students in Khandala Taluka, more than 1.5 lakhs trees have been planted and this work we wish to spread over along with other NGOs and students as our mission.  We also wish to inculcate the concept of ‘Tree is a Form of GOD’.  This we can achieve by arranging various tree plantation programs, drawing, Essay competitions, cultural programs.

Water is essential for all forms of life on Earth. It plays a vital role in our daily routines, agriculture, industry, and maintaining ecological balance. However, despite its importance, water is a limited resource, and its wastage  and pollution remain a serious problem. Conserving water is crucial issue for several reasons. It also includes judicious uses of water at all levels, avoiding water pollution, reusing water for plants, agriculture and inculcating water literacy from the family and school level to society and industry.

“Disha 2025” is our sister concern engaged into the activities of Education, Environment and Governance.

Water conservation is another core area of our work. We conduct training sessions on rainwater harvesting, grey water reuse, and groundwater recharge techniques. By promoting water literacy, we aim to create awareness about responsible water usage, especially in water-scarce regions. Our campaigns educate communities on the importance of preserving this vital resource for future generations.

• PLASTIC FREE MOVEMENT:

Plastic is widely used because of its durability, versatility, and low cost.  But plastic is considered harmful as it creates bad Environmental Impact, Human Health Concerns.

Therefore, we need to avoid plastic as far as possible. We are deeply involved in spreading awareness about the importance of plastic reuse and reduction. Through workshops and community outreach, we promote the concept of “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” to minimize single-use plastic and encourage eco-friendly alternatives.

Our approach combines grassroots action with environmental education. We regularly engage schools and college students in our programs, creating eco-conscious citizens who actively contribute to a sustainable future.

Through every tree planted, every drop saved, and every awareness session conducted, we move a step closer to building an environmentally responsible society. Our commitment remains unwavering as we continue to work for a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable planet.

Growing more trees, increasing forestation, using water judiciously, and avoiding plastics are key to the survival of mankind.
